Hi flasbeir,
We're getting exactly the same two error messages 4-5 times in a day. The system was working good in the test environment. Last week we went on production where the quantity of the messages are very big. We opened a case on Microsoft about this issue. We send event logs for the Mqseries side, biztalk server and network trace files to the microsoft. They're currently working on this issue.
You posted this thread on 03-13-2007. It was 7 months ago. What was the situation of your problem ?
Thank you.

Hi Serhaton/flashbeir, was there any finding on the cause and workaround to solve this error “A security package specific error occurred. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070721)” . Any feedback from microsoft on this incident?
I’m hit with this error after making a password change to both COM+ application and DCOM service as well as biztalk host instance that make call to MQAgent2 service.

You can download and run a DTC test tool from Microsoft to see if that is the cause. We occasionally have this problem when servers are recycled and aren’t powered back up in the right order.

Hi Toneli, i read that DTC test tool use for making connection testing with remote Microsoft SQL server.
i’m having problem with remote IBM websphere MQ server. So don’t think this tool is suitable.
just to add on, before the password change exercise, both biztalk server had no problem communicating with the IBM websphere MQ server.
When the password change exercise failed, we revert back the old password. And this “A security package specific error occurred.” error disappear. both biztalk server went back to healthy state.
Any idea what else we had miss out?
We did this same password change exercise in our development environment, where there is only 1 server having biztalk host instance and DCOM MQAgent2 service, and remote IBM websphere MQ on another machine.
we had no problem changing these the password for this development environment.
any suggestion is deeply appreciated. Thanks.

Did you ever get this problem solved ?
We are experiencing the same issue.
Please let me know if you have a solution for this.
EDIT: Solved by adjusting TCP timeout settings
