Using Database alias names to configure BizTalk 2004

Hi,

I'm trying to use SQL Server alias name during configuring Biztalk 2004 instead of specifying the actual server name.  I have specified the alias name in hosts.ini (system32\drivers\etc….) like this,

216.251.48.115            DSP_BizTalkMsgBoxDB

I'm using DSP_BizTalkMsgBoxDB during BizTalk database configuration.  BizTalk is failing to recongnise this as an alias name.  It'z throwing up saying "Unable to connect to the database server DSP_BizTalkMsgBoxDB"

Any guidance is appreciated.
