Viewing 1 reply thread Author Posts November 15, 2006 at 2:37 AM #16427 community-content I have sql receive ports configured on a database table. if database goes down for some reason the ports are shut doen i.e disabled error in logs is threshold has increased or connection failure etc. i have to manually start ports again. wil i get any event when ports are disabled,so i can make them on automatically please help November 26, 2006 at 11:47 AM #16530 community-content You should see an Error event in the event log when your Receive Ports are disabled. You could write a service to monitor for this event log event or I think there is a WMI Event you can listen to. I think you can also set the retry count at the higher interval. Hope this helps.
