Hello world - I just wanted to let you know that -Visual Studio 11 and .Net 4.5 are out in public beta . Actually I’m pretty late with this news, so you probably already knew this. Maybe this can just be your reminder to download it and try it out. Because you should, if you haven’t yet! -Update 4.0.3, which I previously mentioned was in beta , has now been released (RTM)! Although I haven’t used this feature in my regular work, I’ve known for a while that WF4.0 ships with a palette of activities designed to support distributed transactions. A distributed transaction is when you have a transaction, which is an atomic commit of a set of operations with a consistency guarantee, implemented in a multi-party scenario, so that all parties know the transaction either completes or fails atomically. Microsoft has made the source code of ASP.NET MVC available under an open source license since the first V1 release. We’ve also integrated a number of great open source technologies into the product, and now ship jQuery, jQuery UI, jQuery Mobile, jQuery Validation, Modernizr.js, NuGet, Knockout.js and JSON.NET as part of it.
