    wcf.codeplex.com is now live

Over the last few weeks the WCF team has been working on a variety of new projects to improve WCF’s support for building HTTP-based services for the web. Taking HTTP support in WCF to the next level

If you are building for the web and the cloud, then you know that HTTP is important. WCF is no stranger to HTTP. Since .NET 3.5, we’ve been continually delivering capabilities in the platform to enable developers to expose services as resources over HTTP. Now we’re looking to raise the bar several notches. VS, DTE, COM and COMException, Part 2 – PreserveSig (:-P)

Part 1 is here . At the end of Part 1, I’ve decided it’s time to try this COM Message Filter thing out. Implementing the IMessageFilter interface and registering the message filter turns out to be not hard at all, because really, in our case the message filter doesn’t need to do anything complicated, it just needs to return RETRY a lot. Yes, not hard at all, except… suddenly my application starts crashing during random calls to DTE. Arg! What has gone wrong? 0xe00000005 The exception is Access Violation...

It might be the first time I someone contacted me to about a blog they wrote about custom WF activities. Of course I was chuffed that they thought I might be interested. The articles really were interesting to me so I’m doubly happy to link them: http://www.neovolve.com/post/2010/10/01/Custom-Windows-Workflow-activity-for-dependency-resolutione28093Wrap-up.aspx Quick spiel: Not only does Rory Primrose tackle the basic problem of doing dependency injection as a workflow activity, he also adds a custom...
