Recoverable Interchange Processing Video

This 9:07 minute video covers one of the new features of Biztalk 2006, Recoverable Interchange Processing. This is the ability to fail a single message inside an interchange without failing the whole interchange. This works with both the Xml Disassembler and the Flat File Disassembler.

This video was made for BizTalk 2004 but should still be relevant for BizTalk 2006 and BizTalk 2006 R2.

Downloading the related sample files might also be helpful.  They can be found here: http://www.biztalkgurus.com/files/folders/biztalk_2006_samples/entry15565.aspx

Live Play (no need to download the file) of this video is available here: http://www.biztalkgurus.com/liveplay/recinterchange/Recoverable_Interchange_Video.aspx

I downloaded the demo sample, compiled and deployed according to instructions. The samples work fine when RecoverableInterchangeprocess is set to false, when I switch to true, restart the host, I am still getting the same behavior as if it was set to false, the whole intercha ge is failing. I enabled/disabled the receive location and gave the same result Thanks for your help

This video and sample code was based on BizTalk 2006. If you are running R2 the exact code might not work. The concepts are the same though. It is possible I have a bug in the same code or the filer expression. I’ll have a look at it when I have time. In the mean time, the video should walk you through how to set up and use Recoverable Interchange Processing.
