Full-time (direct hire) position for a BizTalk Architect. We are currently in the early stages of our BizTalk adoption. We have the systems in place (Dev, Test, Staging, and Prod) and we’ve got 2 solutions that are through development and are being staged for release. We also have a larger project that we are going to be building over the summer that will be fundamental to the business that will leverage the BizTalk platform. Much of the development work on that project will be out sourced but we are doing a lot of design work for the project and will have to be responsible when the system is delivered.
The person that we are looking for is someone that knows the BizTalk platform soup to nuts and that can do the strategic and tactical design work on how to utilize the platform. Having skills to transfer that knowledge into the larger team of Development, Test, Release Management, and Operations will also be a big plus because organizationally we are at the beginning of the adoption phase. Being a hands-on subject matter expert in BizTalk (preferably BizTalk 2010 but previous versions translate well) is critical. The successful candidate will have solid application development using BizTalk with demonstrated successful delivery.
Primary responsibilities: • Create Technical Design Specification documentation for software solutions using the BizTalk platform.• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues on the BizTalk platform including: performance, concurrency, code quality / maintainability, reusability, and extensibility. • Evangelize and mentor developers and operation teams on the adoption of BizTalk.• Build best practices around BizTalk development for the company integrating BizTalk applications into the existing SDLC processes including Release Management.• Build an extensible test automation framework for the BizTalk platform utilizing Visual Studio 2010.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent in education and experience required. Advanced certifications preferred. Minimum of 3 years’ experience utilizing BizTalk in a high volume, large scale software development organization and including: 1. Setup and Configuration 2. Performance Tuning 3. Troubleshooting 4. Monitoring and Alerting using SCOM 5. Application Rollout Understanding of physical and logical server architectures for BizTalk Server Knowledge of operating systems including, but not limited to Unix and Windows Skill in designing applications to use message-oriented middleware such as Websphere and BizTalk Development experience using relational databases, preferably MS SQL Server 2005 and 2008 in a high availability SAN environment
