Hii Everyone,

I have installed a licensed version of 'BizTalk 2009 Standard edition' on a Windows Server 2008 64bit machine.  Since WMQ v6.0, v7.0 are not supported on the Windows Server 2008 64bit platform, IBM WMQ v7.0.1 was installed with its fix pack 7.0.1.

However, the MQSC adapter is still not displayed on the BizTalk 2009 admin console  (after the WMQ installation) under the 'Adapters'. The adapter is not listed when I try to add it either.

It is noted in this link http://www.microsoft.com/biztalk/en/us/adapters-included.aspx
that 'WebSphere MQ' is an adapter that is already included in BizTalk 2009, where the supported editions are 'IBM WebSphere MQ Server 6.0 with Fix Pack 6.0.1.1 or  7.0 with Fix Pack 7.0.0.1'.

Please help me out with this issue.

Cheers,

Sach.

There are 2 different Microsoft - WebSphere MQ adapters.  The one that comes on the BizTalk 2006/9 cd has a COM+ based component that needs to be installed.  The other one which is referred to as MQSC is on a different installation disk.  You will find it on the BizTalk Adapters for Host Systems installation disk.

If you have a BizTalk license you are also licensed for this adapter even if it is on a different disk.  We are using it in a similar situation as you Windows 2008 - MQ v 7 with fix pack 7.0.1

Hi Sach,

The MQSC on 64 bit is a separate download.

It doesn't state that Biztalk 2009 is supported - it only states 2006, but my experience is that it works with both 2006R2 and 2009 on the 64 bit platform.
