I have just taken the plunge and upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8 (partly because of the £25 upgrade offer). After the upgrade I noticed a severe lack of space on my otherwise roomy C: drive. A quick check in Windows Explorer reveals a windows.old directory which contains all of my old Windows 7 [...] Blog Post by: Nick Heppleston

I developed a program which uses SQL Server Compact. Initially it was developed creating SQL Server COmpact 4.0 databases. Now after reinstalling my laptop, I tried to open the database, but it appaered I was missing the necessary tooling for SQL Server Compact 4.0, I could only open/create SQL Server Compact 3.5 databases. I've immediatly installed the SQL Server Compact 4.0 runtime, which can be found here . But this however didn't seem to be enough... I still couldn't open my created...

It has been fun discovering Service Bus Notifications. I have received some good feedback over Twitter recently and have also shown my demo to some colleagues over the past week with some great responses. In my last post we discussed the solution at a high level. Within this post we are going focus on the actual implementation. I will warn you in advance that this post will be fairly lengthy so buckle up. If you find the walkthrough too long, be sure to check the video at the end of the post that...

In BizTalk360 you can setup monitoring in two different modes, either to receive regular periodic updates about the health of the system or updates based on threshold violations. Example: A receive location is disabled, that’s supposed to be enabled. Regular Alarms Regular alarms are like your daily early morning wake up calls. I have installed windows 8.... I installed the enterprise edition, as I wanted all the good stuff and I had a single key allocated to me for this. It was a lot more difficult than I would have thought to get it installed and running. I am up and running... It works, it is not windows 7.... It is different as is most new major releases of windows, if you look back over time..... Get used to it. If you have touch, great, if you want to use the old desktop apps, even better, they all work... Get used...

So I followed the help document only to have an unusual situation: 1) the feed wouldnt render in browse mode. 2) the feed WOULD render in Edit Mode. The key to the situation was to declare a little more on the sample script Yammer gave – adding ‘text/javascript’ Here’s the working script – (one for the bat –utility belt) *tested from Win8, Firefox * <script data-app-id='hyB2pTvrL36Y50py8EWj6A'...

Creating a MessageBox On-Ramp for the ESB Toolkit in BizTalk 2013
Posted

by
Syndicated BizTalk Author
In an environment where Microsoft BizTalk ESB Toolkit is deployed, a BizTalk receive location responsible for receiving ESB-destined messages is referred to as an "on-ramp." In the receive location you have to use one of the pipelines provided as part of the toolkit, and then correctly configure the components of that pipeline to determine the itinerary and link it to the message. So you can use almost any location outside BizTalk as an on-ramp but what if you want to pick up a message...
