Posted

by
Syndicated BizTalk Author
As much as I am a fan of the Business Rules Engine (BRE) shipped with BizTalk Server there are times when I think it could use some more love from our friends at Microsoft, and never have I felt this more so than during a recent deployment exercise. I was aiming to deploy BRE Policies [...] Blog Post by: Johann

Syndicated BizTalk Author
Day #1 has been officially launched for the 6 weeks of Azure Program. Rocky & Christian at Microsoft are busy combining a great community effort with help from myself & Mahesh, Bill Chesnut and others to bring together a great 6 week program about a Journey through Azure (above and beyond technical aspects, but they are also included). Things like: - taking an onpremise solution and converting to Azure. - what your solution may look like in Azure. - what considerations you’ll need to think...

Syndicated BizTalk Author
I boarded BA flight BA0049 to Seattle this afternoon for the MVP Global Summit 2013. It’s pretty standard stuff, normal airport security and boarded the flight at 14:30. After about an hour flying we noticed some panic movements between cabin crew. First they all went to a common area for discussion, then they all rushed [...] The post First flight drama after so many years flying appeared first on BizTalk360 Blog . Blog Post by: Saravana Kumar

We released the first version of BizTalk360 Windows 8 application back in December 2012 with minimal set of functionalities. We didn’t promote the release and kept it more like our private release informing only the closed customer/MVP community. We been actively working on the project for the past few months now and yesterday we released [...] The post BizTalk360 Windows 8 application is available in the app store appeared first on BizTalk360 Blog . Introduction Accessibility isn’t always about aria roles and text to speech, it’s often about simply good design. There is a range of disabilities that need to be considered when working with the web. We often just think about blindness, but we should remember to consider the other things that make surfing the web difficult for people. [...] Blog Post by: Karissa Wingate

Of late I have been working on a BizTalk project that requires me to pick up XML data from a queue type table in a SQL Database. In the previous installment of this series on refactoring BizTalk maps I discussed how you could take the easy road to ensure your maps work when the target namespace of your schema changes, or if the schema is moved to a different project or had it’s .NET type name changed. SP2013: Updating a List using REST in OData format from JavaScript
Posted

Syndicated BizTalk Author
After wrestling with this tonight for sometime I’ve finally cracked it. SP2013 RTMed and alot of the sample code fails due to the fact that you need to now add ‘..;odata=verbose’ onto pretty much every call to SharePoint. Basically you get a series of errors such as: MIME type could not be found that matches the content type of the response . None of the supported type ( s ) ' application/atom+xml;type=entry , application/atom+xml , application/json;odata=verbose Previously alot of the sample...

Creating a MessageBox On-Ramp for the ESB Toolkit in BizTalk 2013
Posted

by
Syndicated BizTalk Author
In an environment where Microsoft BizTalk ESB Toolkit is deployed, a BizTalk receive location responsible for receiving ESB-destined messages is referred to as an "on-ramp." In the receive location you have to use one of the pipelines provided as part of the toolkit, and then correctly configure the components of that pipeline to determine the itinerary and link it to the message. So you can use almost any location outside BizTalk as an on-ramp but what if you want to pick up a message...

While setting up a new SharePoint solution one of the requirements was to embed a Yammer Feed. So I followed the help document only to have an unusual situation: 1) the feed wouldnt render in browse mode. 2) the feed WOULD render in Edit Mode.
