Mocking up XLANGMessage and XLANGPart to unit test BizTalk components
Posted
by
Syndicated BizTalk Author
BizTalk developers have often felt the need to unit test any dotnet components called from within an orchestration. However, messages passed to dotnet components are of type XLANGMessage and this class is an abstract class, therefore rendered useless when it comes to initialising these types in your unit tests. The way around this is to [...] Blog Post by: DipeshA

CRM 4.0 Customization Synchronization Issue
Posted
by
Syndicated BizTalk Author
Recently, I came across a very odd issue in CRM 4.0. This issue popped up because of an improper deploy/refresh in conjunction with the removal of an entity between test and production servers. It was very out of the ordinary, and I had not seen anything like it before. The Issue at Hand This issue was that [...] Blog Post by: rlanzilli

Syndicated BizTalk Author
So far in this blog series we’ve been looking at how Enterprise Integration Patterns apply to cloud integration scenarios. ABA bank payment file format (Australian Bankers Association)
Posted

Syndicated BizTalk Author
I'm currently working on an application for a un-named organisation. As part of this, I need to export files for processing in the Australian defacto standard for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) files - the ABA format. I'm using BizTalk of course, and it can handle this weird format, however all I had was the sample file, which for a fixed width flat file is not great. I found the format documented here: http://ddkonline.blogspot.com/2009/01/aba-bank-payment-file-format-australian.html Apparently...

Watin => Selenium ?
Posted
by
Syndicated BizTalk Author
I've been using Watin for quite some browser automation projects. But it seems that Watin is a bit dead in the water. No Chrome support. No Firefox 4 or higher support. It also seems to be an heroic effort of a few people. So it might be time to move over to Selenium . Active development, wide browser support...

In WCF there is an option in your contract to markup as an OneWay method like this: [OperationContract(IsOneWay=true)] You will get the following error when you try to send a message from BizTalk to this WCF Service: Details:"System.ServiceModel.CommunicationException: The server did not provide a meaningful reply; this might be caused by a contract mismatch, a premature session shutdown or an internal server error. Using System vs. Custom Entities in CRM 2011

I wanted to write about the topic of whether to repurpose system entities in CRM 2011 or create new custom entities. The out [...] Blog Post by: rlanzilli

WCF-SQL, BizTalk, notification and content based routing

Many people use TypedPolling when they are working with BizTalk and wanting to poll data from the SQL Server and publish it to BizTalk, but there is another way where you use notification. This sample show how to use notification with the WCF-SQL adapter and BizTalk. It shows that you can use notifications without orchestrations to call a stored procedure in a SQL Server database (Adventureworks) and send output from this stored procedure into the file system. The execution of the stored procedure...
