Not Answered This question is not answered
Hi All, While starting BizTalk application ,I encounter the below error, Failed to execute method "Start" on one or more BizTalk Host instances. The method "start" of the BizTalk server WMI server class "MSBTS_HostInstance" cannot be executed because of failure to retrive class. Not supported (WinMgmt) I installed Biztalk 2010 in Win 2008 server and SQL server 2008 r2 in seprate Win 2008 sever. Configured both Biz server and SQL server under same domain account. I check the "Windows Management Instrumentation"service, its already runnung, and even the "Host Instance is "uncheckd" on Diable Host Instance from starting. Kindly help me...

  • Solution Seems to be:

"Think the problem was caused by two things:

    1. BizTalk server machine had a name longer than 15 characters.

    2. DTC between biztalk server and sql server was not fully functional. DTCPing worked, but DTCTester revealed an error.

After fixing these two issues and doing a complete reinstall and reconfiguration, everything works fine. "
