how to read constructed message as string in expression shape

Hi All,

I'm new to biztalk, started learning and practicing few concepts.

I need to read constructed message as string in expression shapes. In expression shapes, I've called .net method to insert xml data to sql database.

is that possible ? else, please guide me on above issue..

here the code added in expression shape.

Insertinfodll.insertdata(OutMSG);

OUTMSG // is constucted message.

How to change Sendport Address value through biztalk database

Hello,

How can i change the value of a send port address usingbiztalkMgmtDb ?

If i make changes in table bts_sendport_transport - column nvcAdress, then will the new address value reflect in biztalk administration console and will it work?

Or is there anything elseor in addition i need to do for this?

Biztalk 2004 Performans problems appeared. what are your suggestions?

We are using Biztalk 2004 since 2006 and at past we had not that much problems but for 4 months at peak days the system behave weird.

First I thought the reason have to be SQL servers I/O problem and bought 4 disks to set RAID10. Then move our databases to this new disks. by that way our Biztalk server's DB and application DB seperated but this doesn't solve our problems. Then I realise that Biztalk's DBs are huge for a good performance.Then I deleted Messagebox and tracking by using these 3 commands:

bts_CleanupMsgbox

bts_PurgeSubscriptions

dtasp_CleanHMData

And shrink these DBs but still problem is not resolved.

As I said before nothing has changed at configuration but I don't know why we are getting trouble for last 4 months.

What can I look more to fix that problem?

This is sort of urgent. Our BizTalk server administrator quit and I'm left with urgent task on my hands with little knowlege about BizTalk 2004.

The task:

Files named tgDDMMYY.kol are dropped to a specified folder. These are delimited text files. They are picked by a file adapter, processed by biztalk map via recieve pipeline and sent to SQL server. I parse their content just fine. The only issue is to get the date from the filename I process and extract date from it.

Is there a way to get a filename by calling C# functions at scripts functiod? Is there a another way to process the content? FILE.ReceivedFileName doesn't do the trick. And many varations of it.

Google didn't give me working recipes, unfortunately.

Biztalk Server 2002 hanging in Production Environment

Hi All,

we are having Biztalk server 2002 in our production environment.We upgraded the Operating system from Windows server 2000 to 2003 for the production environment.Now the problem is the Biztalk server 2002 was working fine until we upgraded it to windows server 2003,now it is hanging so many times.we also tried to install the service pack but we failed to install it.

Please help us in this.It is importent and urgent.

Direct Bound and Recieve Shape in same Orchestration?

Is there a way that you can set up a orchestration to allow both Direct binding and port binding? I need to be able to recieve from both. I am thinking that I will need to make a small orchestration that will act as the physical recieve port and do a call orchestration inside of it. Not a big deal if that is the right way to go.

In our Current set up

Server A : Has IBM Websphere MQ v6.0.2.1 is installed.(MQ Server) and also MQ Series Adapter is installed.

Server B: Has BizTalk Server 2004, MQ Series Adapter and IBM websphere MQ Client v5.3 is installed.

Is IBM Websphere MQ client installed in Biztalk Server is required to communicate with MQ Servers?

if 'Yes', How Biztalk Server Communicates with MQ Server using MQ client?

My application is running on Biztalk 2004. we are communicating with IBM websphere MQ ( Version 6.0.2.1). I would like to know whether Biztalk 2004 is compatible with IBM websphere MQ, version 7.x

Orchestration enlisted and versionning

Hi,

I have one orchestration who receive two correlated messages. It receivce a first message, then i change the version of my assembly during the orchestration is waiting of the second message.

After the redeployment, i unenliste the orchestration in old version and enliste the new version. My question is the following :

When the second message is received, i wish that only the old version get the message.

For the moment, the both versions get the message. So, an instance in new version is waiting the first message and it's not that i want.

How to live without the Biztalk Explorer in Visual Studio 2003 in BT 2004 production server?

This maybe a "newbie" thing to say.. but I find it very hard to config the send ports, receive ports and orchestration bindings without the Biztalk Explorer in a production server . Is it really possible to live without the Biztalk Explorer in Visual Studio? Please tell me if this is not one of those "best practice" in administrating a Biztalk Server in production. For any comments/suggestions, thank you very much!!!

How can I deploy Biztalk 2004 aplications and its artifacts in a production server without Visual Studio?

Our production server must have no development tools installed only the .Net framework... We used to use Biztalk Explorer in Visual Studio to configure receive locations , send ports, orchestration bindings, etc. Is this possible without the Visual Studio 2003 installed? I've tried to see the Biztalk 2004 Power Toys " Management Tool" @ http://blogs.msdn.com/b/luke/archive/2005/02/02/365678.aspx but I can't open the link for "Biztalk Management Tool" ... Any alternatives??? Thank you very much for any suggestion and/or recommendation

BizTalk 2004 Deployment error: Error inserting tracking information for rule set, Not Found

I'm trying to deploy a new business rule version, and get the message:

Error inserting tracking information for rule set xxxxxxx, Not Found

I've previously deployed new versions on this server and have deployed this version on a different machine. Also tried undeploying an old version and trying to redeploy it, which caused the same error. Publishing is fine and doesn't cause an error, and the version is inserted into the database.

Anyone seen this before?

AS2 send adapter error in BizTalk 2004

I need to post a XML message using AS2 send port to a virtual directory in another server, which is configured under a VIP. I get the following error.

AS2 Adpter error: Http error 401.2 Unauthorised

Could someone help me on this why this error occurs.

Greetings. With little to no training I got this task for BizTalk 2004 server. Receive a flat file using receieve pipeline to put data into SQL procedure.

Example of flat file follows:

Note blank line separating those lines. How do I make a schema for simple copying these lines into SQL procedure fields?

Can Biztalk utilize wsdl iteral binding style when adding web services as reference?

For Biztalk 2004, is this possible? I understand that .net 1.1 cannot use rpc/literal wsdl in web reference but is there a work around in Biztalk 2004?

If this is not attainable for Biztalk 2004? How about for later versions?

BizTalk 2004 Error: (-2074) The EDI subsytem could not connect to the server

I have inherited a BizTalk 2004 system to maintain while I put steps in place to upgrade to 2010.

This server has run pretty much ignored since it was installed, but until we move to the new server next year some time (required for 4010 to 5010 change), I need to add a new outbound 834 conversion. None of that is particularly relevant except for the fact that the EDI accelerator is being used.

I was able to duplicate an existing map, and make changes to the hard coded elements of the map, but when I go to build just the changes I made (and its associated dependencies), I get the error mentioned in the subject line.

OK, so I thought it was an error in my code ... so I tried rebuilding an existing map.

Same problem.

Normally I would just bring up the help ... but the person who installed this system 6 years ago decided that online help is not important in a development environment (and do you think I can find the discs?). Given the age of the system, even searching online is not pulling back anything meaningful.

So - any suggestions? Waiting for our 2010 install is not an option, this needs to be done ASAP.

.Net Component to use a .BTM file

Not sure if this is a possible to do, but I will still ask. :)

Is there a .Net component or anything else wherein you give a Input Schema and use the existing Biztalk .btm file to get a Output schema? Can I use the existing .btm file to do my transformations without creating XSLT or using the Biztalk?

I am looking for non-BizTalk solution.

MSMQT subservice failed

We're having some issues with an MSMQT queue. The error is -

The MSMQT subservice failed to process outgoing message, error code "Time to receive has expired while the message was still in its local outgoing queue (generated locally by sender). , Destination: DIRECT=OS:.\Private$\transport Details: c0c01d16, Time to receive has expired while the message was still in its local outgoing queue (generated locally by sender). : Message expired

Does anyone know how to solve this?

BAMStarSchema Database

We've recently noticed that we do not have the BAMStarSchema Database on our production server, it is however on our dev server.

Is it an essential database component for BTS 2004?

Microsoft says its 'SQL database that transforms the data collected from the Business Activity Monitoring for OLAP Processing. This database is required when using the BAM Analysis database'

We have been receiving quite a few errors in the application logs recently.

Also, how do we check if we are in fact using the BAM Analysis database?

Hi,

I need to set the default value to destination depending on the input from Source schema.

The problem is that in the inbound XML file Source node may appear or may not.Following is the source schema structure.

<ns0:Delivery xmlns:ns0="http://POCIATA.test">

</ns0:Delivery>

<TicketReferenceValue TicketReferenceValueType="AC">test</TicketReferenceValue> this node may not be appear in the source then I need to set the default value as "ANY" in destination.

If the node is present it will take the TEST as value.

But how to set the default as ANY if complete node is not present in the source schema.

Can any one having the same scenario, can I use the INLINE XSLT for the same.

In biztalk 2004 we are receiving below error message. Could you kindly let us know why we are receiving this error and what should be done to rectify it.

<ResultMessage>An error occurred while processing the message, refer to the details section for more information</ResultMessage>

Biztalk 2004 which we are using in between two ticketing tools, 1 is HPOVSD and another one is Remedy.

I am from HP and supporting Biztalk 2004.

The process is as below.

Service call is getting created from Remedy (ticketing tool) and that will come to Biztalk and Biztalk will send the transactions to HP OVSD. So once HP OVSD receives the transactions it will create a service call id in HPOVSD and sends acknowledgments to Biztalk and Biztalk send the xml to Remedy with the acknowledgment saying the call got created in OVSD. In acknowledgments there will be HP OVSD id, Including the Remedy ID.

So now few of the service calls which are created from Partner (here Remedy) are not acknowledged and ending up with above mentioned error. Instead of acknowledgments, we are seeing error.

So someone plzzzzzzzzz tell me what is the error mean and why it is getting generated here.

Is there anything related with HP OVSD web services? like not responding or something..i am not sure..but all the biztalk services are running fine.

Only acknowledgments are failing. Is this an issue with HPOVSD tool or Biztalk. it is happening with all partners, Like ROCKWELL, AGILENT, MERRYLYNCH, lots..

how to analyze and go further.
