When it comes to BizTalk environment "Backup and Disaster recovery", the only official supported option is Log shipping. This applies to all the versions of BizTalk Servers listed below BizTalk Server 2004 SP1, 2006, 2006 R2, 2009 and 2010 Log shipping was originally introduced in BizTalk 2006 and back ported to 2004 via SP1 .
